Flashing
in Samsung Galaxy S2 GT-i9100
Requirements:
- Rooted Samsung Galaxy S2 GT-i9100.
- Custom ROM (Recommended SlimROM, here).
- Sufficient Battery Level above 50%.
- Atleast 2 GB free memory space in phone.
How-To
Flash Custom ROM on your Rooted Device
- Copy the downloaded .zip file of Custom ROM to your Internal SD Card.
- Download Titanium Backup app from Play Store. Open the app and allow Superuser permission to it. Click on batch, on top-right corner of app screen. Click on Backup All User Apps. This takes backup of all the apps in your phone so that you don't need to download them again in your new ROM.
- Switch Off your Phone.
- Go to Recovery mode(Pressing Volume Up+Home+Power buttons simultaneously) till you get a Menu screen.
- Go to “Backup and Restore”, select Backup. Backup process may take about 5-10 minutes. So be patient.
- Now go back to Main Menu of Recovery, Choose “Wipe Data/Factory Reset”, Confirm it again.
- Again go back to Main Menu of Recovery, Choose “Wipe Cache”, Confirm it.
- Again go back to Main Menu of Recovery, Choose “Advanced”, Select “Wipe Dalvik Cache”, Confirm it. If this option is not present, don't worry, just skip it.
- Now go back to Main Menu of Recovery, Choose “Install Zip”, select "Choose zip from Internal", select your .zip ROM file that you copied earlier to your phone. Confirm it. Wait for a few minutes for flashing to complete.
- And
That's It. Reboot your device. And enjoy Android 4.3 on Samsung S2
GT-i9100.
